PRAISE THE LORD FOR
THE REMAINING SLICES!
Our pastor, Dr. Bill Wininger, sometimes says that if life were a pie, everybody has a slice missing. In other words, nobody has it all! It is important to understand this because we human beings have a tendency to look at other people and think they have it better than we do. The Psalmist said in Psalm 73:3-5, “For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death; but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.”
The truth is that everybody has their problems (especially the wicked). One person may have a physical handicap, while another has a financial problem. One person may have had an unhappy
childhood, while another had difficulty in school. Some people are not happy with their jobs, while others are unhappy with their appearance.
One of the great secrets of happiness is being content with who we are and what we have. The ancient Greeks had a saying that there are two ways to be rich; one is to have everything you want, and the other is to want what you have. We tend to think that other people have it better than we do because we don’t know their problems, frustrations, insecurities, and fears. We are not privy to their innermost struggles. What we see each day is the carefully constructed appearance they present to the world. Like a woman who spends much time applying her makeup before leaving her house, we all try to hide the blemishes in our lives from others. And that’s not a bad thing! A song I love says, “I’ll hide my heartache behind a smile…And wait for reasons ‘til after while”.

The Re-Filing For The “Critical Hours” Power Increase For WDPC, Dallas — We are now reapplying for a power increase during the early morning and late evening hours. Currently, we have 5,000 watts of power during most of the day, but only 500 watts during the first and last two hours of broadcasting. This new increase would take us to 3,250 watts. The original filing in the fall of 2004 was “flawed”. However, the delay has worked to our advantage to allow us to take advantage of two additional opportunities to expand the ministry. Romans 8:28 continues to prove itself over and over!
A Redesigned Website — Our website at www.wordchristianbroadcasting.com has been completely redesigned and updated. And if you are not saved, you can be saved by following God’s simple Plan of Salvation given on the website also.
