PRAISE THE LORD FOR
SENDING THE GOSPEL AROUND THE WORLD!

During February, we began streaming the Gospel message on the World Wide Web (I never realized until just now what the www stands for in an Internet address!).  Being on the Web is another step toward reaching the world for Christ!  It presents all of us with many more opportunities.
1.    Through the years, many listeners have said, “We wish we could hear you at night.”  With Internet streaming, we are now on 24 hours per day, seven days a week!
2.    Since 1993, we have grown to cover most of the western side of Atlanta, and West Central Georgia with 1520 AM, 1500 AM, and our listeners drive outside this area to work everyday.  Others work in buildings where AM reception is not good.  Still others live in areas with “spotty” reception.  Access to a computer and an Internet hookup can give these listeners a clear signal and great quality audio anytime day or night.
3.    We can now direct people to Old Time Preaching 1300 AM.  However, some of and Singing, whenever and wherever we meet them. We can and should witness to people we meet on vacation, business trips, doctors’ visits, shopping trips, and anywhere else we encounter them, including on the telephone and by e-mail!  Recently, I was talking with a young man from the Philippines who works in tech support for a software company.  He was in California, and I in Georgia.  After finding out he was a Christian, I told him about our web site.  He was grateful, and said he had been seeking a source for Bible study.
4.   Young people who leave our churches, Sunday School classes, or family “nest” to relocate to another place are frequently homesick.  Whether due to military service, college, a job change, or another situation, we can now continue to share the good things of the Family of God with them over the Internet.
What prompted me to write this article was the following e-mail from Sis. Joan Tyson of Good Samaritan Baptist
Mission.
·        Dear Bro. Ken,  I am sitting here at my desk in Comali, Honduras listening to the broadcast.  I have been intending to write for a long time, but time just gets away.  I just want to say what a blessing it is to sit here and hear all the preaching and singing.  Bob loves to sit in here with me and listen to the old time Gospel preaching and hymns that you don’t hear too much anymore.

The Lord continues to bless us here.  Always we face attacks from the Enemy, but the Lord is always with us.  Souls are being saved every week.  We just had a group with some from the Villa Rica area and they were such a blessing.  Tomorrow, 32 young people from Glenhaven Baptist Church will be coming for a week.  Steve is building the 9th radio station in Tela, Honduras.  We stay busy, but when I am here in the office I love to listen to your radio station.                                                                                            We want to say again what a blessing the broadcast is.  It is hard now for Bob to understand a lot of Spanish preaching, but he sure understands what comes on your station, and we appreciate it so much.
What a thrill it is to know that we can be a blessing to this veteran missionary couple, who have laboured so faithfully for almost 40 years in Central America.  The audio stream can bring a message from home, that is from

America and from Heaven, to missionaries all over the world.  (By the way, if you are interested in learning more about the amazing story of Good Samaritan Baptist Missions, we have a few copies of Sis. Joan’s book recounting what God has used them to do since the 1960’s.)
If you are not using your computer to enjoy preaching and music, you are missing a blessing!  In addition to the speakers that come with every computer, you can purchase additional good quality speakers for as low as $29.00.  If you would like to “splurge” for wireless speakers, you can have preaching and singing throughout the house.
Praise The Lord For using the Internet to spread the Gospel.

What’s New with WDCY, WDPC, & WNEA

4th of July Parade –We plan to have a float in this year’s 4th of July Parade in downtown Douglasville.  This event is a highlight of the year in Douglasville, with many thousands of people lining Church Street and Bankhead Highway.  The parade begins at 10:00 A. M.  The theme for our float will be “All Around the World to All Generations”.  We hope to see you there.  Look for us near the front of the parade.

Theme For This Year’s Share-A-Thon October 5-7 – Unless the Lord changes our mind, it will also be “All Around the World to All Generations”.  We are excited about what God is doing around the world in general.  And we are excited to be a small part of it!  While it is true that we live in dark days, it is also true that “the darker the night, the brighter the light shines”.  Please begin to pray with us about the upcoming Share-A-Thon.

What’s New With The Christian Supply Outlet

A $5.00 Gift Certificate — Recently we mailed a Gift Certificate to every family on our mailing list.  Please feel free to utilize it anytime prior to July 15.  If you did not receive one in the mail, just come by the radio station and ask for one.
Acceptance of Credit Cards — The Supply Outlet is now set up to accept MasterCharge and Visa credit cards, as well as Bank Debit Cards.
Homeschool Curriculum “Purchasing Season” — We can meet your need for Homeschool Curriculum, at 10% off retail price, for Bob Jones, Alpha and Omega, ACE, Saxon Math, and many other individual course materials.  Come by to review a complete catalog of the materials available.
Children’s Books — In addition to the few books we already had, we now have a number of children’s books from ABEKA Books.  These include biographies, historical books, and short stories.  Of course, all these books present Christian values to help train children in Biblical principles.
Children’s Sunday School Material — In addition to six Sunday School curriculums, we now have aids to help teach young children Bible stories and songs.  Many of these are also from ABEKA Books.
Free Issues of “Baptist Bread” — As long as they last, we have issues of this little devotional booklet that has daily devotionals for two months.  It is very similar to “Our Daily Bread”, which was used by many fundamental Christians for years.
More Copies of the Little Book “Fighting Back” — Fifty copies of this little book went out the door very quickly.  It gives much information about the King James Version of the Bible versus the many versions that appeared during the 20th Century.  Its cost is only fifty cents.
Saturday Hours During July — The Outlet will be open 10:00 A. M. until 2:00 P. M. each Saturday during July.
