PRAISE THE LORD FOR
A GOD-GIVEN RESPONSIBILITY
Another Share-A-Thon (Our 15th) is now history, and once again you have honored us, humbled us, and challenged us with your love, devotion, and support for these ministries. A record $105,639 has been committed over the next year to support our efforts to “Preserve The Old Time Religion For The Next Generation”.
Many of you have given sacrificially because you, like we, believe the message of the Old Time Gospel of Jesus Christ is what can save our children and our nation. The vast majority of America has no idea what the Bible teaches. Like Israel in Jeremiah’s day, our country has forsaken God and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns that will not hold water (Jeremiah 2:13). We are thrilled to be used of the Holy Spirit to be a “Voice” crying out to as many people as possible “This is the way, walk ye in it.” For almost fifteen years now, we have been able to reach an ever expanding number of people on the west side of Atlanta and in West Georgia.
Your generous support, year after year, has allowed us to “keep on keeping on”. Now it is time for us to present you with a new prayer request for something above and beyond our normal operation; the building of a station that will reach all of Atlanta! On September 10, 2007, the FCC approved our application for a Construction Permit to build a 50,000 watt station!
Atlanta is the eighth largest radio market in the United States. To cover the entire city with the Gospel is a huge opportunity…and now a God-given responsibility! According to the FCC mandate, the station must be built and on the air within three years. It will cost approximately $1,000,000. Many decisions will have to be made in the coming months, and much time and effort invested in this new project, while continuing our focus on home base; the West Metro and West Georgia area.
Please pray for us as we continue to be “The Voice Of The Old Time Religion For the West Metro and West Georgia Area”, and work toward becoming that “Voice” for all of the four million people of Atlanta. We will keep you posted through the Newsletter as we progress toward making this a reality!
