How To Get To Heaven
If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven?
Did you know that you can know?
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (I John 5:13)
The Bible is clear that we can KNOW that we will go to Heaven when we die.
Here’s How You Can Know“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Romans 3:10)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
Everyone has sinned or done things he should not have done. The first step in getting saved is acknowledging that we are sinners.
Here’s Where Sin Came From“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12)
Adam committed the very first sin on this earth; and as a result, everyone born since then is a sinner.
Because God is a holy and a just God, He cannot allow sin in His presence; so God has placed a price on sin.
That price is death, which is not simply dying and going to the grave, but is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)
But The Story Doesn’t End There“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Salvation is THE gift of God.
A gift is something someone gives you without you doing anything. If someone gives you a gift, they do all the work; all you have to do is accept it.
Jesus did everything for you when He left His home in Heaven, came to earth, died on the cross, shed His blood, bore our sins in His body, and rose from the dead. All you have to do is receive Him as your personal Saviour.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
This Is What You Need To Do“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
To call on the name of the Lord simply means to cry out to Him or to ask Him to be your personal Saviour.
Whosoever means ANYONE and EVERYONE who is willing to ask; and most importantly, whosoever means YOU.
Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.
If you would trust Christ as your personal Saviour, then simply put your faith and trust in Christ to save you by praying this prayer from your heart right now:
“Dear Jesus, I realize I’m a sinner; and the best I know how, I right now ask You to forgive me of all my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. I trust You today, and only You, to be my Saviour. Thank you for dying for me.”
If you meant that prayer with all your heart and trusted Christ to save you when you asked Him to, you can now proclaim with assurance that you are going to Heaven when you die:
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on Him.” (John 3:36)
